The One who gave me everything
Invisible yet present
May my spirit always find you
Teach me to love like you
And let my heart follow your ways
On earth so they lead me to heaven
Sustain me with bare necessities
So I neither get discouraged by lack
Nor seduced by surplus
Call me back when I err
Heal me from my wounds
And from any harm protect me
Anchor me in you
Grant patience when I am stricken
And in Your arms always hold me
*This was a meditation on the Lord’s prayer.
How do you address God in prayer? What does it mean to you that God is in heaven? How do you see in your life His name being held holy? What would it look like if His kingdom came and His will was done? What is your daily bread? How do you experience God’s mercy? Is it easy for you to forgive? What do you need from God to forgive? How do you experience God’s protection and guidance?
