We emerged from the Resurrection
Like from a fog
Scattered in the garden
Hiding behind the closed door
Running away from the city
We had no certainly
We only had fear
And even His appearances
Were veiled
We had each other
And though we tried to flee
We always returned
We had each other
In fear and in grief
And in nudges of hope
Huddled, defeated
We left our selves behind us
And empty we waited
