Family and couples psychotherapy

I have a small private practice as a family and couples psychotherapist, alongside my NHS role. In therapy, I provide a safe and supportive space, where we can talk about your difficulties without a fear of judgement. We consider your circumstances in the context of your current and past relationships, life events and wider contexts, like that of the culture that shaped you. We develop a shared understanding of your stories, in a way that validates you and makes sense to you. I create in-session experiences that will help you move to new ways of relating, so you have more choice in how you respond to each other.

My way of working is to begin with a consultation. If we both think that I can help you, I can offer therapy short-term or longer-term, and sessions are weekly or fortnightly. I offer therapy online, because I find that this medium allows more flexibility. I charge £80 for a 60-minute session and I offer a concessionary rate of £60 for for those on low income; having sessions every two weeks can also be a way of spreading the cost.

I hold an MSc in Family Therapy from King’s College London and I am UKCP registered. I have extensive additional training, including in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) with families, couples, and individuals. I am also a clinical supervisor.
